The first year of your membership fees are prorated throughout the year so you aren’t paying for months in which you are not a member. Once you send in your application, we will calculate your cost to join. After joining, your following year dues are billed and paid in one installment. Click HERE for the membership application.

Dues for membership are payable on January 1 of the following year.  To utilize our online payment system, please visit this link.

Your NRDS number (also called a NRDS ID) is a 9-digit number that is individual to each member. You need your NRDS number in order to access certain member benefits. Once the NRDS# is assigned, it stays with you for life, no matter which association(s) you join. You can look up your NRDS ID # here

Secondary membership allows a REALTOR® or Broker member who is already a member of another local association to take advantage of the services of another association. The same benefits are available to secondary members as they are to primary members. Your primary association collects your annual C.A.R. (California Association of REALTORS®) and NAR (National Association of REALTORS®) dues. Furthermore, your primary association is in charge of tracking your Code of Ethics requirement and providing you with ProStandards resources. Click HERE for an application.

Limited Function Referral ONLY (LFRO) is a status held by agents who are solely engaged in referring clients and customers and are not engaged in listing, selling, leasing, renting, managing, counseling, appraising, or arranging financing for real property and are not participants or subscribers in any MLS. Consult with your Broker.

A Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO) is a separate entity where real estate licensees or appraisers whose sole function is to refer prospective clients hang their license. LFRO agents may NOT access the MLS. If you wish to access the MLS, you must join as a primary or secondary member.

Affiliate members are individuals who are in a profession with interests in real estate-related information. Examples of affiliate members include builders, mortgage company officials, and home inspectors, etc.

Broker Tours

Unlike broker tours for other areas, the broker tour process for the Marin area is one that is more informal. Instead of the association creating the broker tour sheet and having a tour meeting ahead of time, each individual agent, in essence, creates their own tour by running a “Tour” report on the MLS. Based on the criteria entered by each agent, that will determine the properties that will be included on your “tour sheet”.

Please note: BAREIS does not have a set deadline to submit a listing for tour. For more information on how to run reports for Tour please reach out to BAREIS at: 707.575.8000
